How to make AI text undetectable for free (A 3-step punctuation check)
Before you pay $20/mo for a rewriter, try this free 3-step check. It might be all you need to pass AI detection.
AI humanizers are expensive. But what if you didn't need one? Often, the only reason you're getting flagged by detectors isn't your *words*, it's your *punctuation*.
AI models are trained on "published" text, so they use "perfect" publisher's punctuation. Humans just use whatever is on their keyboard. This creates obvious "digital fingerprints" that detectors can spot instantly.
Before you spend money, run your text through this free 3-step check. This "final polish" is often the only step you're missing.
Step 1: Check Your Dashes
This is the most important step. Do your pauses look like this:
It was a great day—despite the rain.
Or like this:
It was a great day - despite the rain.
The first example uses a "robot" em dash (—). The second uses a "human" hyphen (-). A text full of em dashes is a dead giveaway for AI. You need to replace all "publishing" dashes with simple "typing" hyphens.

Step 2: Check Your Quotes
This is the same problem as dashes. Does your text use fancy, curly quotes like this:
He said, “That’s a great idea.”
Or plain, straight quotes like this:
He said, "That's a great idea."
The first example uses “smart quotes”. The second uses "straight quotes". Again, AI models are trained to use the "correct" smart quotes. Humans just type the straight quotes from their keyboard. You need to change them all to look "human-typed."

Step 3: Check for Emojis and Messy Spaces
This is a sneaky one. AI often adds "friendly" emojis, like: This is great! ✨
Many people just delete the emoji, but they miss the space. This leaves an "orphaned" space *before* the punctuation:
This is great!
(The above example has a "hanging" space right before the exclamation mark.)
A human would never type that. Detectors see word ! or word . and flag it immediately. You must delete all emojis AND the extra spaces around them.

How to Fix All 3 in One Click
You can do all of this manually, using "Find and Replace." But it's slow, and you'll miss things.
This is exactly why we built our tool. It's not a rewriter—it's a "punctuation scrubber" designed to perform this 3-step check for you.
Paste your text into our free tool. The "Humanize AI" button will automatically fix your dashes, quotes, and emoji-spaces in one second.
